Saint Vincent de Paul Society
Serving at the altar is one of the most meaningful ways young people can participate in the life of our parish. There’s a quiet dignity in lighting the candles, carrying the cross, or assisting the priest during Mass—moments that help deepen faith and build confidence in equal measure.
About
Our SVP members provide both financial assistance and friendly visits to people in need within our parish and local community. When someone reaches out for help, we respond with dignity and discretion—there’s no judgment, no lengthy forms, just a genuine desire to ease someone’s burden. Sometimes that means help with bills or groceries; other times it’s simply a regular visit to someone who’s lonely. We see Christ in every person we serve, and we’re privileged to be his hands and feet in very practical ways.
If you have compassion for those struggling and a few hours to spare, we’d welcome you as a member. SVP work requires sensitivity, reliability, and the ability to maintain confidentiality—but most importantly, it requires a heart that sees the dignity in every person. If you yourself need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. That’s exactly why we’re here.
