Sentry

Home / Parish Club / Sentry

Serving at the altar is one of the most meaningful ways young people can participate in the life of our parish. There’s a quiet dignity in lighting the candles, carrying the cross, or assisting the priest during Mass—moments that help deepen faith and build confidence in equal measure.

About

Sentry is our youth group where teenagers can be themselves while exploring what faith means to them. We meet regularly for a mix of activities—sometimes it’s deep discussions about life and belief, other times it’s games, outings, or simply hanging out together. The atmosphere is relaxed and judgment-free; no question is too challenging, and no doubt is off-limits. We also get involved in parish events and social action projects, giving young people opportunities to put their faith into practice.

If you’re a teenager who attends St Joseph’s (or even if you’re just curious about faith), Sentry is your space. Whether you’re deeply committed or full of doubts, whether you come to every Mass or hardly ever, you’re welcome here. Faith looks different for everyone at this age, and that’s exactly what makes our group interesting.
