Music Coordinator and Choir

Home / Parish Club / Music Coordinator and Choir

Serving at the altar is one of the most meaningful ways young people can participate in the life of our parish. There’s a quiet dignity in lighting the candles, carrying the cross, or assisting the priest during Mass—moments that help deepen faith and build confidence in equal measure.

About

Our choir leads music at various Masses throughout the year, from ordinary Sundays to the great feasts of Christmas and Easter. We rehearse regularly to learn new hymns and polish familiar favourites, creating a welcoming environment where singers of all abilities can contribute. Whether you read music fluently or simply sing along by ear, there’s a place for you. Beyond the music itself, choir members often speak about the deep sense of community that develops—there’s something bonding about making music together in service of worship.

If you enjoy singing and would like to use that gift to enhance our parish liturgy, we’d love to hear from you. You don’t need to be a professional vocalist or have formal training—just a willingness to commit to rehearsals and a love of sacred music. Even if you’re feeling uncertain about your voice, come along to a rehearsal and see how you feel. Most choir members will tell you they were nervous at first but quickly found their place.
