Bethany Bereavement Support Group

Home / Parish Club / Bethany Bereavement Support Group

Serving at the altar is one of the most meaningful ways young people can participate in the life of our parish. There’s a quiet dignity in lighting the candles, carrying the cross, or assisting the priest during Mass—moments that help deepen faith and build confidence in equal measure.

About

Bethany provides bereavement support through trained volunteers who understand that grief doesn’t follow a timeline or a neat process. We offer one-to-one support, listening without judgment to whatever you need to say—whether that’s tears, anger, confusion, or even laughter at cherished memories. Sometimes we also organize group gatherings where bereaved parishioners can meet others who truly understand what they’re going through. There’s profound comfort in realizing you’re not alone, that others have walked this dark valley and emerged on the other side.

If you’ve lost someone you love—whether recently or years ago—and find yourself struggling with grief, Bethany is here for you. There’s no “right” time to seek support, and you don’t need to be coping badly to reach out. Sometimes just having someone who listens makes all the difference.
