Altar Servers
Serving at the altar is one of the most meaningful ways young people can participate in the life of our parish. There’s a quiet dignity in lighting the candles, carrying the cross, or assisting the priest during Mass—moments that help deepen faith and build confidence in equal measure.
About
Our altar servers play a vital role in the celebration of Mass, assisting the priest and helping ensure everything runs smoothly. We provide training to teach new servers exactly what to do and when, so no one needs to feel nervous about getting it wrong. Servers work on a rota system, meaning you’ll know well in advance when you’re needed, and you’ll often serve alongside friends from the parish.
If you’re a young person who’s made your First Holy Communion and would like to serve at Mass, we’d love to have you join us. Parents often find that their children grow tremendously through serving—gaining confidence, developing reverence, and forming lasting friendships with other servers.
